OUR ROLE AS A UNION IS TO DISTRIBUTE AND COLLECT SANITARY WARE QUESTIONNARES AND TO IDENTIFY AND ORGANISE WOMEN GROUPS FOR DISCUSSIONS.

SO FAR WE HAVE MANAGED TO RECRUIT 89 NEW MEMBERS, OF WHICH 20 OF THEM ARE YOUNG WORKERS FROM THE CAPITAL CITY HARARE.

WE ARE YET TO RECIEVE REPORTS FROM OTHER PROVINCES I.E MASVINGO, MUTARE, BULAWAYO AND GWERU.

CASWUZ DISTRIBUTED SANITARY PADS TO WOMEN WHO HAVE JOINED CASWUZ. THE CAMPAIGN ON "DIGNITY PERIOD" COMMENCED IN 2004 WHICH RESULTED IN SUPPORT FROM BROTHERS AND SISTERS OUTSIDE BOARDERS AND OVERSEAS.  SINCE 2006, THE WORKING WOMEN WHO ARE TRADE UNOIN MEMBERS HAVE BEEN RECIEVING SANITARY WARE PERIODICALLY.

THE TRADE UNIONS AFFILIATED TO ZCTU WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR DISTRIBUTING THE PRODUCTS TO THEIR MEMBERS WHILE THE CENTRE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR ORDERING THE PRODUCTS ON OUR BEHALF AND MONITORING THE DISTRIBUTION.

THE PROGAMME IS BEING RUN BY OUR CHAIRLADY FOR THE WOMEN' COMMITTEE, MS TECLA MASAMBA IN CONJUNCTION WITH ZCTU WHICH SOURCED THE SANITARY PADS

WE ARE NOW EMBARKING ON AN EVALUATION EXERCISE TO ESTABLISH THE IMPACT OF THE CAMPAIGN, EFFECTIVENESS OF THE PROCESSES AND FUTURE PLANS.  THE EXERCISE WILL BE DONE USING THE FOLLOWING METHODS:

*QUESTIONNARES THAT WILL BE ADMINISTERED TO INDIVIDUALS

*FACE TO FACE INTERVIEWS WITH INDIVIDUALS AND

*FOCUSED GROUP DISCUSSIONS.

THE EXERCISE IS BEING CONDUCTED AND SO FAR WE HAVE MANAGED TO RECRUIT 89 NEW MEMBERS BOTH FROM TELECOMMS AND POSTALS.  ONLY THESE ARE FROM THE CAPITAL CITY OF HARARE AND WE ARE YET TO GET REPORTS FROM OTHER PROVINCES I.E MASVINGO, GWERU , BULAWAYO AND MUTARE.
