The ILO will be making it 90 years come 28th April 2009.  Uganda as a member state of the ILO, it will be joining the rest of the world to celebrate the 90th Anniversary.  It is organising a number of activities to mark the celebrations and this will give it an in sight of what to do during the centenary celebrations in the next 10 years to come.

The preparations are being organised at a tripartite level and all the social partners are involved.  The Global theme of the commemoration is "Social Dialogue and Decent work for a Fair Globalisation".  In Uganda the activities are to be run from 21st to 28th April 2009.

We call upon all the stakeholders to support and participate in these activities to ensure that the ILO 90th celebrations are a success in Uganda.
