UNI Africa held its 2nd regional conference in Hammamet Tunisia from 11 - 13 May 2009. The conference saw a convergence of over 200 delegates from 33 countries across the continent of english, french and portuguese nationality all meeting as one UNI Africa through solidarity and unity of purpose.The 2nd UNI Africa regional conference apart from discussing agenda items related to the conference theme of "UNI facing up to its future" i.e. the vision, the challenges and the prospects of this mission also saw the ushering in of a new UNI Africa executive headed by reknown South African unionist Bones Skulu and Zakari koudougou who was confirmed by the conference as Regional Secretary.
